Google Pixel 8a price leaked ahead of launch

30 April, 2024 21:26

If you were disappointed to hear about the potential hike in Google Pixel 8a prices, take a deep breath as new leaked prices by none other than Steve Hemmerstoffer (aka @OnLeaks) may force to change your mind about the device.

The device is just two weeks away from global unveiling at Google I/O 2024.

According to tipster, the Google’s next-gen mid-ranger is expected to start at $499, like its predecessor Pixel 7a.

The Pixel 7a came with a base storage of 128 GB at that price tag, however, the Pixel 8a is guaranteed to come with 256 GB base variant at the same price.

According to today’s report, this could set you back $559 stateside, undoubtedly launching at the same time as the slightly humbler 128GB model.

The device doesn’t exactly sound like the bargain of a lifetime at $499 and up either, but that’s still a lot better than a potential starting price of $549, which was previously rumored.

Moreover, the Pixel 8a has been leaked in images multiple times, revealing pretty much everything there is to know about its visual appearance (and more).

It may come in Mint shade, the black (or “Obsidian”), blue (aka “Bay”) and white (or “Porcelain”) version.

Under that hood, it would pack a state-of-the-art Tensor G3 processor and 8GB RAM.

A 6.1-inch OLED display with cutting-edge 120Hz refresh rate technology should make the Pixel 8a easier to maneuver with one hand and to support that it would come with a 4,500mAh battery to further improve the already solid endurance between charges of the Pixel 7a.

The Pixel 8a doesn’t look like a pushover on paper in the camera performance department either, with its two rear-facing snappers being expected to retain the 64 and 13 megapixel counts of their predecessor while bumping up the actual quality of your photographs with the help of software and AI magic.
