Governor Punjab briefs President Alvi on Tele-Ration Tele-Medicine Service during visit of the latter to Lahore.

President Dr. Arif Alvi presided over a a high level meeting in Lahore today (Wednesday).

The meeting reviewed measures which Punjab government took to control spread of Coronavirus in province.
During meeting, Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar briefed President about Tele-Ration Helpline.
He also briefed him on Tele-Medicine Service in province.
Moreover, Ch Sarwar conveyed about Ration Package for affected and deserving families in this situation.
Later, President Dr. Arif Alvi visited Corona Crisis Management Cell in Lahore. 
During visit, President was given briefing about working and progress of state of the art Corona Crisis Management Cell.
Punjab Home Departmet runs that cell.  
He was told that this Cell is monitoring and dealing all issues related to Corona round the clock.
This Special Cell also monitors spread of this pandemic in all districts of province.
President directed to publicize all departmental helplines for public and to update all data related to Corona pandemic.

PresidentAlvi has underlined dire need of promotion of modern research in medical science in collaboration with private sector.
He stated this while addressing a meeting of the senor doctors, at the University of Health Sciences in Lahore today (Wednesday).
He lauded research efforts made by the scientists and professors of the University of Health Sciences.
He said that no country was prepared for facing the sudden outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic and we have to fight war against this disease collectively.
The President commended the efforts and sacrifices made by the doctors, paramedical staff, police, Ulema and administration for halt of the spread of coronavirus.
He paid rich tribute to efforts of the soldiers and the rangers in anti-corona combat.
He advised the masses to adopt all precautionary measures directed by the doctors so as to save ourselves and our families from the coronavirus.
