IHC rejects PM Khan’s plea to stop ECP notice proceedings

Islamabad- The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has rejected the supplication of Prime Minister Imran Khan to halt the procedures of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) notice.

During the hearing, Equity Aamer Farooq commented that no sacred control can be annulled by defining a law. “The government has setup an statute plant.
The ECP take note might have surpassed its control. But you (PM) ought to have showed up some time recently the ECP to precise his great purposeful,” he ruled.

The court watched that how work can proceed in case everybody decides his domain. Barrister Ali Zafar fought that the ECP code of conduct cannot be over the law.
“The ECP code of conduct shaped for political parties does not refute the law affirmed by the parliament,” he stated. He offered to the court to suspend the take note issued by the ECP for infringement of the code of conduct. The ECP issued the take note for Walk 28, looking for a answer from the ECP and Cabinet secretary.
