In a first, Christian woman promoted to Brigadier rank

Pakistan Army on Saturday promoted a Christian woman officer, Helen Mary Robert, to the rank of Brigadier local media reported Saturday.

Mary was promoted to a high rank in the Army Medical Corps.

The move was well appreciated on social media, who termed it a proud moment for the country.

Human Rights Activist Kapil Dev took to X to congratulate newly-promoted Brigadier Mary.
