India to kill ‘escaped terrorists’ inside Pakistan

06 April, 2024 10:34

India will invade Pakistan and kill everyone who escapes over the border after carrying out terrorist activities in the country.

These threatening remarks were made by Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh while speaking to broadcaster CNN News18 a day after a UK’s Guardian reported the Indian government since 2020 had killed about 20 people in Pakistan.

The report added that killings was a part of India’s broader plan to eliminate terrorists residing on foreign soil.

In response to a query about the Guardian report, the defence minister warned that if they (terrorists) run away to Pakistan, we will enter the country to kill them.

New Delhi always wants to have good ties with its neighbouring countries, Singh said, adding but if anyone comes to India to promote terrorist activities, we will not spare them.

Guardian’s report comes months after US and Canada accused New Delhi of killing or attempting to kill people in those countries.

In September, Canada said that it was pursuing credible allegations linking India to the death of a Sikh separatist leader gunned down in June. However, India termed the allegations as absurd and motivated. Earlier this year,  a top Canadian official said India was cooperating in the matter.

India-Pakistan relations had worsened since a 2019 suicide bombing of an Indian military convoy in occupied Kashmir.

Pakistan has claimed it had credible evidence linking Indian agents to the killing of two citizens on its soil.
