Islamabad United might miss opener Colin Munro in the crucial clash against Quetta Gladiators on Friday at the National Bank Stadium.

The left-hander, who was the star of the show with the bat in the United’s must-win game against Multan Sultans, suffered a hamstring injury.

The New Zealand star has scored 309 runs in nine innings at an average of 34.33 striking at 139 in nine games.

He scored 84 off just 40 balls courtesy of nine fours and five sixes chasing 229 against Sultans.

Munro pulled his hamstring in the same match and is a major doubt for the first eliminator. However, if Shadab Khan’s manage to beat the Gladiators on Friday, then the team’s medical staff will make a final decision on his participation in the second eliminator.

It is worth mentioning here that, Babar Azam’s Peshawar Zalmi will take on Mohammad Rizwan’s Multan Sultans on Thursday at the National Bank Stadium.

The two sides met twice in the tournament and on both occasion Babar’s team emerged victorious.
