Lang and Bev Kidby, an elderly Australian couple currently on a journey around the world on their 102-year-old car, have suffered from extreme heat suspending their trip in Jacobabad.

The couple is unwell due to extreme hot weather conditions prevailing in Sindh.

The Australian couple, aged above 70 years, started their world tour on their old car from London that will end in Melbourne.

Mohsin Ikram, the couple’s coordinator said the duo abandoned their journey in the car after reaching Jacobabad. They loaded their open car on a truck and sent the sedan to Lahore. Now they are leaving for Lahore on a normal car, Ikram said. From Lahore, the couple will reach India through Wagah Border, he added.

Earlier, Lang and Bev Kidby entered Pakistan on May 23 via Taftan border and were supposed to exit Balochistan on May 25-26.

Their world tour in a 1922 car is under FIVA flag. FIVA flag is the world governing body of vintage vehicles with its presence in over 80 countries.

The couple is one of Australia’s better known husband and wife adventurer teams, who have travelled in over 80 countries for the last 40 years.
