Karachi to observe 10°C to 12°C for next few days

The Pakistan Meteorological Department forcasts dry weather with cold temperatures at night for Karachi, adding tonight (Wednesday) to be the coldest night of the year.

The Met Office said that the mercury is expected to drop as low as 10 to 12°C in the coming days while the maximum temperature is likely to rise between 25 to 27°C. The humidity was reported at 60% and the speed of winds blowing from the northeast is 3 kilometres per hour.

Karachi will have mornings and nights becoming coldser for next few day, the Met Office informed. The cold wave will last till the end of January.

The met department said forecasts mainly cold and cloudy weather is expected in most of upper parts of the country, while very cold in northern parts and north Balochistan during the next 12 hours.

Dense fog and smog likely to persist in plain areas of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and upper Sindh.

Temperature of other major cities recorded this morning: Islamabad and Peshawar two degree Celsius, Lahore five, Quetta minus-two, Gilgit minus-four, Murree one and Muzafarabad three degree Celsius.
