Last chance for Usman Khan, Haris Rauf

It will be a do or die match for batter Usman Khan and Haris Rauf, when Pakistan face England in the first T20I.

Rauf hasn’t featured in a competitive game since injuring his shoulder during the Pakistan Super League, while this will also be last opportunity for Usman to prove his metal for World Cup berth.

The Men in Green will announce their squad for the tournament after the first T20I between the both sides.

Sources said the Usman could replace Saim Ayub in the lineup, while, Ruaf could pair with Shaheen and Naseem in the game.

Moreover, the team management is also mulling over whether to go with Shadab Khan and Abrar Ahmed in the series.

Pakistan team management had decided to field the team with full strength. The final decision will be taken following consultation with Pakistan white-ball coach Gary Kirsten.

It is expected that Kirsten will join the Pakistan squad tomorrow.

Babar Azam’s men will lock horns against England in the first T20I on May 22 in Leeds.
