Desi ghee or butter, which is more beneficial?

Although desi ghee and butter have similar nutritional value, ghee may be considered slightly healthier than butter for people with lactose (a type of sugar) sensitivity.

The milk solids are removed in ghee, due to which ghee can be cooked at high temperature without burning.

However overall there is no clear evidence that ghee is definitely more “healthy” than butter.

Both ghee and butter should be consumed in moderation as part of a balanced diet. The following points compare the two diets.

Both ghee and butter contain similar amounts of fat and vitamins, nutritionally there is not much difference between them.

Ghee contains significantly less lactose than butter, which may be a better option for people with dairy sensitivities.

Ghee can be cooked at a higher temperature for longer than butter, allowing it to withstand higher cooking temperatures without burning.

Some studies suggest that the fatty acids in ghee may have more health benefits, but more research is needed.
