Should we rinse immediately after brushing teeth?

13 February, 2025 20:44

Keeping teeth clean is very important for good health, for which we brush teeth on a daily basis, but do we know whether we clean our teeth properly or not?

According to various videos going viral on the internet, after brushing your teeth, you should completely avoid rinsing.

Viral videos claim that by doing this, the fluoride in the toothpaste does not get enough time to do its work because fluoride works to protect the teeth. It protects the teeth from worms and other problems.

What do dentists say?

You will be surprised to know that dentists also agree that teeth should not be washed immediately after cleaning the teeth.

Dentists recommend waiting for 20 to 30 minutes before spitting out extra toothpaste and drinking water.

Dr Suman Yadav, a dentist from India, suggested that if someone feels the need to clean their teeth immediately after cleaning, they can also use fluoride mouthrance.
