Which supplements are anti-aging?
According to a new study, taking regular omega-3 and vitamin D supplements can improve health and slow down the aging process.
In this study published in the journal Nature, the researchers said that taking these supplements for more than 3 years increases the lifespan by 3 to 4 months and it becomes even more effective in combination with exercise.
They explained that aging occurs at the molecular level. Therefore, even if two people are the same age, their body age can increase at a different pace depending on their overall health.
A few months’ increase in aging may seem trivial, though. However, it can have many public health benefits, including the prevention of certain age-related medical conditions.
The researchers analysed data from the DO-HEALTH trial that examined the effects of supplements and exercise on older adults in five European countries between 2012 and 2014.
