The pollen count in Islamabad saw a decrease on Thursday, dropping to 32,446 particles per cubic meter of air, according to data from the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).

This marks a reduction from 38,604 recorded the previous day in the H-8 sector, but the levels remain high enough to cause health issues for allergy sufferers.

The latest figures show a decline across various sectors of Islamabad:

• H-8: 32,446 (previously 38,604)

• G-6: 7,604 (previously 8,940)

• E-8: 6,687 (previously 7,795)

• F-10: 4,631 (previously 5,817)

Islamabad’s air is filled with multiple types of pollen, but some species contribute significantly more than others:

• Cannabis – 71 (High)

• Grasses – 102 (High)

• Pines – 76 (Moderate)
