Low turnout costs Karachi PSL10 matches

08 May, 2024 14:55

Low turnout in Karachi has cost the metropolis with less Pakistan Super League matches during the 10th edition of the tournament next year.

According to report, the National Bank Stadium would only be hosting only five games during the tournament, while Lahore would host 10 game, the most in the next season.

Rawalpindi and Multan would host eight and five matches respectively, according to the proposed schedule.

The reason behind giving Karachi only five games is because of the low turnout in the last season.

The PSL 2025 playoffs are set to be held at a neutral venue, which, in all probability, will be England.

Moreover, the teams will report on April 07 next year and they would train till April 11.

The opening match will be held between Islamabad United and Lahore Qalandars in Rawalpindi on Saturday, April 12.

Two matches will be played the next day, Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators in Rawalpindi while Kings and Multan Sultans will face each other in Karachi.

The PSL Governing Council meeting will be held towards the end of May 2024. During the meeting, the window for next PSL and changes to playing conditions will be approved.
