Matriculation exams begin amid reports of paper leak

The annual examinations of Class 9 and 10 have started in Karachi amid reports of leak of first paper on social media before it reached the examination centers.

Today, Computer oral exam is being held for Class IX and X from 9:30 am till 12: 30 pm. While General Science will be held in the evening shift from 2:30 till 5:30 pm.

More than 368,000 students of 9^th and 10^th classes are participating in the exams for which 504 exam centers have been set up across the metropolis. There are 265 examination centers for girls and 239 centers for boys.

According to the chairman of the Board of Secondary Education Karachi, Section 144 is enforced around the centers during the exams and the photostat machines around the exam centers have been closed.

The chairman further said that students should not bring mobile phones with them during the exams and in case of violation the cellphone will be confiscated.
