Minister for concrete measures to protect economy from negative impacts of Coronavirus.

Federal Minister for Planning,Asad Umar has said the coronavirus pandemic is dversely affecting the world economy.
He said this while talking to a private news channel.

Asad Umar said the government is taking concrete measures to fight against coronavirus outbreak.
However, he urged all the stakeholders and opposition parties to take unified stance to cope with the pandemic.
Earlier, Prime Minister Imran Khan said he would announce package for construction industry.
He shared this while addressing a ceremony in connection with distribution of Rs100 billion tax refunds amongst the businessmen in Islamabad on Thursday.
ADB approves another $2m grant

On the other hand, Asian Development Bank (ADB) Monday approved a further $2 million grant.

The ADB grant comes to support the government of Pakistan’s efforts to combat the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic in the country.

Asia Pacific Disaster Response Fund financed this fund.
It will help fund the immediate purchase of emergency medical supplies, personal protective equipment, diagnostic and laboratory supplies, and other equipment.
It supplements an initial $500,000 approved by ADB on 20th March which is already being deployed to support Pakistan’s procurement of emergency supplies through UNICEF.
Meanwhile, the World Bank (WB) has also asked EAP countries to reduce economic shock of COVID 19.
 recommended this in its latest report.
It urged the East Asia and the Pacific (EAP) countries to act now to mitigate the economic shocks of Covid-19, which now caused a global shock.
