Monument falls injuring man, damaging 2 vehicles

A monument erected near Naya Nazimabad falls injuring a citizen and damaging a car and a rickshaw today.

Sources said that the monument erected at a chowrangi in Manghopir area near Naya Nazimabad collapsed due to dilapidated condition. As a result, a citizen was injured and a car  and rickshaw damaged.

The injured person has been shifted to hospital.

Sources said that the incident had exposed the poor performance of the authorities concerned as the monument had been in in need of repair.

They said that the timely repair of the structure could have prevented the incident, which caused injuries to a person and damage to two vehicles.
