NAB approves corruption references against Zardari, Nawaz and Gilani

NAB approves corruption references against Zardari, Nawaz and Gilani today (Monday).

The executive board of National Accountability Bureau has approved new references against former president Asif Ali Zardari and former prime ministers Yousaf Raza Gilani and Nawaz Sharif.

However, in all, NAB board approved nine new inquiries during today’s meeting.
Zardari and Gilani lead Pakistan People’s Party while Nawaz remains supremo of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s (PML-N.
The three politicians are accused of handing out gift vehicles from the Toshakhana or (the gift depository) against low prices.
The authorities concerned had earlier questioned Gilani and Nawaz about the vehicles.
Moreover, NAB board also approved an inquiry against the administration of Islamabad Police’s Safe City Project.
Furthermore, it accorded approval to inquiries against a member of the National Assembly (MNA) Sardar Ashiq Hussain Gopang, and the ex-member Punjab Assembly (MPA) Chaudhry Shaukat Mahmood Basra.

NAB closes probe against Zulfi Bukhari

But, NAB decided to end probe against Zulfi Bukhari who belongs to ruling PTI.
According to National Accountability Bureau (NAB) press release, NAB Executive Board approved closure of the investigation today (Monday).
The board meeting held on Monday in Islamabad where Justice Javed Iqbal (retd) presided over.
It decided an end to probe against Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development.
