National cricket team captain Babar Azam returns home

Lahore(GTV News) :Pakistan cricket team captain Babar Azam returned to Lahore from Dubai on a private airline after the World Cup loss to India.

Babar Azam was accompanied by other members of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) at the Lahore airport in the early hours of Monday morning. On this occasion, fans gathered to greet the captain and chant slogans in favor of the team. The players and management were also welcomed by their families. The players were escorted to their vehicles under strict security. Some fans also had the opportunity to take selfies with their cricket heroes.

The Pakistan captain admitted on Saturday that the team’s bowling performance was not up to expectations. Babar Azam expressed his thoughts after Pakistan’s defeat against England and said, “The defeat against England caused disappointment in the dressing room.” He made it clear that the matches would be organized in such a way that they would reflect the good and bad performances of the team during of the World Cup season.

Pakistan team manager Mickey Arthur on Saturday supported captain Babar Azam after the World Cup defeat against England at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Saturday.Speaking about his future plans, Arthur said: “I’m just going back to the Peak District, Derbyshire; I will be really happy and everything will be fine. He defended his dual role with Derbyshire and Pakistan and was criticized by some former players as a “Zoom coach”.

After Pakistan were eliminated in the semi-finals, Arthur expressed his confidence in struggling captain Babar Azam and said, “Babar is very, very close to me. He is a little boy who needs to be taken on a journey. We have to show him what it’s all about.He is constantly learning and developing.
