When will Starlink’s services be available in Pakistan?

The parliamentary secretary of the Ministry of IT has shared a good news that the internet services of Elon Musk’s company Starlink will be available by June this year.

In a meeting of the Standing Committee on IT in the National Assembly, the parliamentary secretary said that matters with Starlink have almost reached the final stage and the service will be available here by June this year.

The members of the Standing Committee, in the meeting, expressed anger over the internet problems in the country. Ahmed Atiq said that internet is not coming even at a distance of 40 kilometers from Lahore adding there is no internet in most places in other parts of the country. Our children are forced to come out of these areas and come inside the cities.

The PTA chairman replied that companies are reluctant to go where there is no business. We force companies to install towers in some places.

The member of committee said you do not take the matter personally as you are a regulator and you have a responsibility to regulate them.
