No Pakistani student killed in Bishkek: FM Dar

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has said that no Pakistani student was killed in Bishkek incident.

Accompanying Information Minister Attaullah Tarar and Amir Muqam, the foreign minister told a news conference that 16 Pakistani students were injured in attacks in Kyrgyzstan.

What happened in Bishkek is sad for us, Dar said, adding Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is also reviewing the situation.

The deputy prime minister said that after the Bishkek incident, Pakistan activated the emergency unit at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

I had a detailed discussion with the foreign minister of Kyrgyzstan, Dar said and added that there was a contact with the president of Kyrgyzstan also through the embassy.

The Pakistani ambassador also updated the situation in Bishkek every moment, he added

Meanwhile, a flight carrying Pakistani students arrived in Lahore from Kyrgyzstan’s capital Bishkek.

The flight of foreign airline reached Lahore from Bishkek at 11 o’clock. 30 Pakistani students have returned from the flight of foreign airline. Among the 30 students who reached Lahore from Bishkek, one injured student is also included.

The flight from Bishkek is carrying 140 people including 30 students.

Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi welcomed Pakistani students at Lahore Airport and inquired about their welfare.

According to the sources, another flight from Kyrgyzstan will arrive in Pakistan today with Pakistani students. For the return of Pakistani students, one flight will arrive in Pakistan from Bishkek every day for 1 week.
