Over 286500 patients have recovered from coronavirus in Pakistan so far.

According to the latest statistics, government confirmed 6794 active coronavirus cases in the country.

At least 22, 830 coronavirus tests carried out over the last twenty-four hours.

Of them, 426 people tested positive.

Meanwhile, Officials confirmed nine new deaths from the virus during the last twenty-four hours.

Earlier, Minister Shibli Faraz said the government is making all out efforts to reduce impact of inflation.

He was discussing measures in the wake of COVID-19.

Furthermore, he expressed confidence that the government will overcome the inflation.

On the other hand, Pakistan called for collective action to achieve sustainable economic development in the wake of unprecedented global crisis.

He said six discussion groups convened under this forum which identified the set of menu of action to address the challenges.

Sheikh spoke on the crisis which the Covid-19 pandemic triggered.

He said the debt relief is a quickest way to create fiscal space.

Hafeez Shaikh said debt cancellation from the least developed countries needs serious consideration in order to protect their economies form the negative impact of global pandemic.

He said it would help put them on fast track of sustainable economic development.
