Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi and his Iranian counterpart Jawad Zarif talked today (Wednesday).
During their telephonic conversation, both sides agreed to work together.

Shah Mahmood Qureshi said Pakistan extends its full support to Iran to cope with the outbreak of Coronavirus.
He said Pakistan regrets the loss of precious lives in Iran due to the epidemic outbreak.
Shah Mahmood Qureshi thanked the Iranian Foreign Minister for highlighting the Indian atrocities against Indian Muslims.

WHO representative in Pakistan

Meanwhile, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi says eradication of polio from the country is amongst the top priorities of the government.

He was talking to WHO representative in Pakistan Dr Palitha Gunarathna Mahipala in Islamabad on Wednesday.

Furthermore, he said Pakistan government is taking all necessary steps to check spread of Coronavirus.

He said thermal scanners have been installed at airports.

The Foreign Minister expressed hope that WHO will continue its cooperation with Pakistan for improvement in health sector.

The WHO representative said his organization has enhanced its cooperation with Pakistan for eradication of polio from the country.

Meanwhile, Special Assistant on National Health Services Dr. Zafar Mirza said the federal and provincial governments are working in cohesion to contain the coronavirus.

He said while talking to the media persons in Rawalpindi on Wednesday.

He further the situation is not that serious to close down the educational institutions in the federal capital.
