Pakistan faces brief internet outage

Internet services in Pakistan after a brief outage were restored on Tuesday, Down Detector reported.

The watchdog didn’t provide any conclusive cause of the disruption, but the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority believes that it was caused by the submarine cable being affected.

However, GEO news citing its sources inside the PTA reported that the outage appears to be an internal matter.

It should be noted that restoring internet suspension is the responsibility of PTA and telecom operators.

The PTCL users also reported the outage as recorded on Downdetector, an online platform showing real-time information on various websites and services.

This is the second time in the last two months that internet connectivity has been disrupted in Pakistan.
