Pakistan grieved over tragic death of seven Canadian Pakistanis due to fire in their house in Alberta, Canada.

Foreign Office Spokesperson Zahid Hafeez Chaudhri has expressed deep grief and sorrow over the losses.

In a statement, he said our thoughts and prayers are with the families of the victims of this tragic incident.

Moreover, he said: We also pray for quick and full recovery of the injured.

The Spokesperson said our Consulate General in Vancouver remains in contact with the relevant Canadian authorities.

Meanwhile, the CG is ascertaining facts and also stay in contact with the bereaved family to offer all possible assistance.

Zahid Hafeez Chaudhri said as per the relevant Canadian authorities, the cause of the fire remain unknown so far.

However, preliminary investigations indicate it not not criminal in nature.

According to the local officials, a fire ripped through a home in Chestermere, Alberta.

The cause of the fire, which ranks among the deadliest in Canada in recent years, not immediately known.

The fire happened at 2:30 a.m. on Friday when neighbors heard a “loud bang” at a home.

It situated in the 300 block of Oakmere Close in Chestermere, about 14 kilometers east of Calgary.

Photos from the scene showed that the back of the home was completely destroyed.

Meanwhile, Chestermere Mayor Marshall Chalmers described the loss of seven people as “overwhelming.”

The Mayor expressed his gratitude to first responders.

He said words cannot effectively express the devastation on our community.

He further said: “Our hearts ache for this family, this neighbourhood, and the community at large.”
