Pakistan release Hasan Ali ahead of first England T20I

Pacer Hasan Ali has been released from the Pakistan T20I squad ahead of the first match against England.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) made the announcement in a brief press release stating that the move was aim to allow Hasan to fulfill his commitments in county cricket.

“Initially, Hasan was included in the squad as an injury cover for Haris Rauf,” it concluded.

Hasan’s release means that he won’t be part of the Pakistan squad for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup.

With the squad composition finalized and Rauf’s fitness concerns presumably addressed.
