Foreign Office has summoned Indian Charge d’ Affaires Gaurav Ahluwalia in Islamabad.

It lodged strong protest over the ceasefire violations by Indian forces along the Line of Control (LoC).

According to FO’s press release, Director General South Asia and SAARC Zahid Hafeez Chaudhri protested agains senseless Indian acts.

He underscored Indian senseless acts in clear violation of the 2003 Ceasefire Understanding.

He further underlined India acts in complete disregard for international human rights and international norms.

The FO emphasized that by raising tensions along the LoC and the Working Boundary, India cannot divert attention from the worsening human rights situation in the Indian Occupied Kashmir.

Meanwhile, Indian troops unprovoked firing left another civilian injured.

36-year-old Shamim Begum, resident of village Jugalpal sustained serious injuries due to indiscriminate and unprovoked firing in Kotkotera Sector.

Meanwhile, Foreign Minister of Pakistan also briefed foreign leaders on IOJK situation.

During his visits to United States, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Iran, he has expressed views of Kashmir issue.

He also spoke to UN secretary general in New York.

He said that Indian occupation forces perpetrate huge human rights violations in Jammu and Kashmir.

Moreover, he said that 8 million innocent Kashmiris are facing continued lock down and detention in the valley for last five months.

Foreign Minister of Qatar Sheikh Muhammad Bin Abdur Rehman also serves his country as Deputy Prime Minister.

He appreciated Pakistan’s efforts in Afghan Peace process and its role in establishing peace in the region.
