15 April, 2024 16:49

Pakistan has claimed that India is suspected to be involved in the shooting of Amir Tamba, who was involved in the attack on Indian terrorist Sarabjit Singh.

Police are investigating the incident of firing on Amir Tamba, but till now the suspicion of the police is going to India because New Delhi was involved in four cases of murder even before Amir Tamba, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi told a press conference in Lahore today.

He said that it is better to avoid making further comments until the investigation is completed, but India has a similar pattern.

The interior minister said that the price of electricity is very high and our meeting was also on over-billing. FIA Lahore has done a great job in this regard. LESCO overbilled 830 million units and it is very unfortunate that the government offices are overbilling common people, he added. Poor citizens using 300 units were also overbilled. The campaign will not stop until the overbilling is over.

The federal minister said that there is a lot of pressure on DG FIA, but this campaign will not stop. I cannot talk about the past, but now there will be no pressure on FIA, he assured.

He said that the rest of the FIA circles are starting work and some of our rules are going to be amended as we need stricter rules.

Mohsin Naqvi said that he spoke to the prime minister and now no pressure will be accepted.

There are more electricity theft cases in Balochistan and KP. We will work there check them, he said.
