Pakistan welcomes Afghan Taliban three day ceasefire announcement for Eid ul Fitr in Afghanistan.

In a tweet today (Monday), Foreign Office Spokesperson Zahid Hafeez Chaudhri said Pakistan fully supports all efforts leading to reduction in violence.

Besides, Pakistan supports efforts contributing towards achieving durable stability and lasting peace in Afghanistan.

Therefore, Pakistan welcomes Taliban’s announcement of three-day ceasefire on Eid-ul-Fitr in Afghanistan.

Meanwhile, Pakistan on Monday strongly condemned the bomb blasts in Afghanistan’s Zabul and Parwan provinces.

Those blasts resulted in loss of lives.

Moreover, Pakistan expressed solidarity with the country’s fight against terrorism.

“We stand by the government and people of Afghanistan in their fight against the scourge of terrorism,” Foreign Office Spokesperson Zahid Hafeez Chaudhri said in a tweet.

He further said that our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families.

The separate roadside bomb blasts in Afghanistan’s two provinces resulted in killing of 13 and wounding of at least 37 civilians.

Meanwhile, blasts close to a secondary school in the Afghan capital Kabul have left at least 50 people dead.

Officials say that the explosions took place as students were leaving the building on Saturday.

Pictures on social media showing abandoned school bags in the street.

Most of the victims were girls, a ministry of education spokeswoman said.
