Pakistan Coronavirus confirmed cases rise to 2039.

According to official spurces, the total number of confirmed cases of coronavirus in Pakistan has soared to 2039.

These include 708 in Punjab, 676 in Sindh and 253 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa while 158 in Balochistan.

Moreover, 184 confirmed cases reported in Gilgit-Baltistan, 54 in Islamabad and six in Azad Kashmir.

Eighty-two people have so far recovered from the disease whilst the number of deaths from the virus stands at twenty six.

SMS service 8171

Meanwhile, government is launching SMS service 8171 to help deserving families benefit from Ehsaas Emergency Cash Program.

Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety Dr. Sania Nishtar made this announcement.

She announced launch of SMS service 8171 this evening.

It will enable the deserving families to benefit from Ehsaas Emergency Cash Program.

Covid19 Care for Media app

Covid19 Care for Media app for registration of Corona affected journalists being launched today.

The information ministers would launch Covid-19 Care for Media.

Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan said this today (Wednesday).
She said this during the video conference on media strategy in the wake of coronavirus spread.
In a series of tweets, the SAPM said that using this app, the affected journalists and their families could register themselves.
Awan said that the Prime Minister Imran Khan attached high priority to the safety of journalists and media workers.
Hence, government was going to launch this app on his instructions.
