President expects precautionary measures in mosques during Ramazan to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
President Arif Alvi has expressed the confidence that the precautionary measures will be taken in mosques during the holy month of Ramazan to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
He said this while chairing a meeting of religious scholars at Aiwan-e-Sadr. However, meeting has not ended so far.

Islamic scholars are sharing proposals to help prepare a strategy for prayer congregations and Namaz-e-Taraweeh during Ramazan.
The President said the entire nation is looking towards the government and the religious scholars.
He said nation wait for them to come up with a consensus policy on the matter.
Furthermore, he said we have to give a message of unity to the nation to deal with the current situation.
President Alvi said he has held consultations with different political leaders over the last few days.
Earlier, he sought proposals from the provincial governments as well for incorporation in the guidelines to be observed during Ramazan in mosques.
He stressed that the message of discipline to cope with coronavirus must emanate from mosques. He said we have to follow discipline as per the life and teachings of holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
The President also prayed to God Almighty to rid the country of this pandemic.
Meanwhile, Coronavirus death toll increased to 143 in Pakistan while total cases rose to 7421.
Government confirmed the total number of coronavirus infection cases in the country reached 7,481.
So far 1,832 patients of Coronavirus have been recovered, while 143 died.
According to official data: 47 died of COVID-19 in Sindh while Punjab reported 37 deaths.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) reported 50 deaths, Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT): 01 and Balochistan: 05.
Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) reported 03 deaths.
Moreover, 41 others remain critically infected.
According to National Command and Operation Center, 92,584 tests have been conducted since outbreak of the pandemic.
They noted 62 percent of them as local transmission while 38 percent through foreign travel.
