Pakistan confirmed Coronavirus cases rise to 9216 while the death toll stands at 192 with 16 new deaths  during the last twenty four hours.

According to National Command and Operation Centre, confirmed coronavirus cases in the country has soared to 9,216.

Punjab detected 4,195 cases so far while 2,764 detected in Sindh.

1,276 cases reported in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 465 in Balochistan, 281 in Gilgit-Baltistan, 185 in Islamabad Capital Territory and 50 in Azad Kashmir.

The Center said that 2,066 patients have so far recovered.

With the 16 new deaths, toll from the virus rose to 192 and 796 new cases reported during the last 24 hours.

Meanwhile, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Disaster Management Authority has sent safety equipment to 49 hospitals across the province.

According to the Director General PDMA, the equipment for medical staff includes N-95 masks, gloves, face shields and sanitizers and other related items.

He said emergency center of PDMA is actively operating round the clock and people can contact toll free number 0800 01700 in emergency situation.

Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar says government is taking every step to protect public’s lives and will win battle against Covid-19.

Talking to several delegations in Sahiwal, he said he is getting first knowledge of on ground situation by visiting every city of province.
