President Alvi directs CEO PIA for early compensation to the plane crash victims’ families.

He issued these directives while presiding over a briefing at Aiwan-e-Sadr in Islamabad.

Dr. Arif Alvi has directed Chief Executive Officer of Pakistan International Airlines, Air Marshal Arshad Malik to expedite the process of compensation to the families of plane crash victims.

Meanwhile, the CEO PIA briefed the President about the investigation into the plane crash.

He also briefed on the PIA’s relief efforts.

He said they had ensured hand over of 44 bodies of the victims to their heirs so far.

The President appreciated the relief measures taken by the PIA and the facilities provided by it to the families of the deceased.

Meanwhile, Chief Executive Officer of PIA visited the house of PIA airhostess, Anam Khan in Lahore.

She also died in the plane crash in Karachi.

He expressed condolences with father and other family members of the deceased.

Earlier, Minister for Aviation Ghulam Sarwar Khan had announced sharing PIA plane crash inquiry report with the Parliament by June 22.

He said this, while addressing a news conference in Islamabad.

The minister also announced sharing the provisional investigation report with the general public besides Parliament.

He asserted they would ensure a free and fair investigation.
