Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar said this, while talking to Punjab Minister for Human Rights and Minorities Affairs Ijaz Alam Augustine, who called on him in Lahore on Tuesday.

He underscored promotion of religious harmony and peace in the province is among top priorities of the government.
Meanwhile, the provincial Minister presented a book titled “White in Flag” to the Chief Minister.
Sardar Usman Buzdar appreciated the efforts of the Department of Human Rights and Minorities Affairs for publishing a comprehensive book.
On the other hand, Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Pir Noor-ul-Haq Qadrialso called for interfaith harmony.
He said the government would protect the rights of minorities and respect the opinion of Ulema and religious scholars on vital issues.
The Minister said this, while addressing Paigham-e-Aman Conference, in Islamabad.
He urged Ulema to forge unity among their ranks for frustrating conspiracies of anti-state elements.
Furthermore, he said seminars and conferences would be arranged across the country for promoting interfaith harmony.
He said the enemies of Pakistan want to fan sectarianism in the country but their nefarious designs would be foiled.
