Coronavirus death toll rises to 4922 in Pakistan where 83 more deaths reported over the last twenty-four hours.

Despite that, official sources noted an improvement in the number of recoveries from COVID-19 in the country. As many as 140, 965 people recovered from the pandemic so far.

The death toll from the virus has reached 4922 with 83 more deaths reported over the last twenty-four hours. 21,951 corona tests were carried out during this period.

2980 new cases surfaced during the last twenty four hours taking the tally to 237, 489.

These include 83,559 in Punjab, 97,626 in Sindh, 28681 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 10919 in Balochistan, 13650 in Islamabad, 1595 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 1419 in Azad Kashmir.

Meanwhile, President Dr Arif Alvi called for enhanced coordination to effectively respond to Covid19 pandemic.

He expressed these views during a presentation which Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) chairman Abrar-ul-Haq gave in Islamabad.

Furthermore, he called for enhanced cooperation among PRCS, Ministry of National Health Services and National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA).

He urged them to effectively respond to COVID-19 pandemic.

Earlier, Pakistan government launched Corona Relief Tiger Force mobile app .

Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Youth Affairs Usman Dar launched the app.

He said that they launched ‘Corona Relief Tiger Force mobile app’ which reflects the vision of the Prime Minister Imran Khan.
