Coronavirus death toll soars to over 5000 in Pakistan besides improvement in the number of recoveries from Covid19 in the country.

2751 new cases surfaced during the last twenty-four hours taking the tally to 243,599.

However, 149, 092 patients have recovered from the disease so far.

The deadly virus claimed 75 more lives during the last twenty-four hours.

Due to that the death toll from the virus has reached 5058.

As per government data, province wise details had it: 85261 in Punjab, 100,900 in Sindh, 29406 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 11099 in Balochistan, 13829 in Islamabad, 1619 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 1485 in Azad Kashmir.

Meanwhile, 23,255 corona tests carried out during this period.

On the other hand, Prime Minister Imran Khan has said compliance of manifesto and discipline are backbone for the very existence of a party.

The prime minister stated this, while talking with Chairman of PTI Standing Committee on Accountability and Discipline Salman Aftab in Islamabad.

Imran Khan said ensuring party’s discipline should be the top priority of all members. The Prime Minister said no one is allowed to disobey party’s regulations.

He expressed satisfaction over the performance of Standing Committee on Accountability and Discipline.

Meanwhile, Minister for Planning Asad Umar said people adopted standard operating procedures and precautionary measures due to which the number of coronavirus cases decreased to great extent.

He said this, while talking to private news channel.

Asaad Umar said the government has taken solid steps and also instructed the masses to strictly follow SOPs to contain the spread of COVID-19.

He said all the stakeholders are effectively working and devising strategies to combat the pandemic.

The minister hoped that people would follow the SOPs set by the government in connection with Eid-ul-Azha to contain the spreading of outbreak.
