Coronavirus has so far infected over 266000 people in Pakistan.

According to official data, 1,013 new coronavirus cases have surfaced in the country over the last twenty-four hours.

With these new cases, Coronavirus confirmed cases rose to 266,096.

However, 208,030 patients have so far recovered from the disease.

These include 90,444 in Punjab, 113,553 in Sindh, 32,243 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 11,441 in Balochistan, 14,625 in Islamabad, 1,868 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 1,922 in Azad Kashmir.

The death toll from the virus stands at 5,639 with 40 deaths reported over the last twenty-four hours.

17,783 corona tests carried out during this period.

Meanwhile, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Youth Affairs Usman Dar has appreciated the Tiger Force volunteer’s active participation in the fight against COVID-19.

He spoke on Coronations related measures, while talking to a private news channel.

Dar said over one million youth have become part of the Tiger Force on the call of Prime Minister Imran Khan.

He further said that volunteer Force is actively playing its pivotal role in implementation of the SOPs regarding coronavirus.

On the other hand,

Spokesman for Balochistan Government Liaquat Shahwani said number of coronavirus reduced due to smart lockdown policy.

While talking to media persons in Quetta on Tuesday, he updated them on Coronavirus situation.

Moreover, he urged people should strictly follow the Standing Operating Procedures on upcoming Eid-ul-Azha to contain spread of pandemic.
