Newly elected UNGA President Volkan Bozkir postpones Pakistan visit due to some reasons.
According to the newly elected President of UN General Assembly Volkan Bozkir’s twitter account, he postponed his scheduled visit to Pakistan today (Sunday), due to some technical flight problems.

However, it also announced rescheduling the visit shortly.
He expressed the hope to visit Pakistan in the near future.
Bozkir said he is looking forward to a fruitful exchange with Pakistani authorities regarding the issues and priorities on the United Nations 75th General Assembly agenda.
In response, Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi took to his twitter handle and said he looks forward to welcoming the UN General Assembly President to Pakistan soon for a constructive and fruitful visit.
In June 2020, Secretary-general of the Washington-based World Kashmir Awareness Forum Ghulam Nabi Fai had asked UNGA head to help resolve Kashmir issue.
He had sent a letter to Ambassador Bozkir.
He congratulated Turkey’s top diplomat Volkan Bozkir on his election as president of the UN General Assembly’s 75th session.

He appealed that he mediate between India and Pakistan to resolve the Kashmir dispute on the basis of the world body’s resolutions.
Fai said Kashmiris trust that new President of General Assembly will bring his immense influence to bear on initiating a peace process.
