Minister accuses opposition of blackmailing govt on FATF legislation.

Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Senator Syed Shibli Faraz said this, while talking to media at Peshawar Press Club on Monday.

He said that Prime Minister Imran Khan is committed to the development of the country and solving its problems.

Shibli said that the government’s polices strengthened the economy and economic indicators improved.

He said that government is fully aware of the problems of journalists and is working to resolve the problems faced by the media industry.

The Minister said in the past politicians practiced politics of vested interests aimed at weakening the national institutions.

He further said the opposition is doing a failed show. He said the opposition parties have joined hands to protect the looted wealth.

Shibli Faraz said that the opposition also attempted to blackmail the government on FATF legislation.

Notably, Information Minister said the people rejected these elements in 2018 elections.

On Sunday, Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi criticised coalition of opposition parties.

He said the opposition’s alliance PDM would not last longer because all these parties had different political interests, ideologies, manifestos and flags.

Qureshi said, while addressing press conference at Raza Hall.

He maintained that the people rejected the Gujranwala public meeting of Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM).

Moreover, he said said that PTI had not registered any case against these parties.

But these parties had ordered cases against current allies themselves.

Shah Mahmood said PTI came to power after public mandate and the opposition parties were unable to digest peoples decision in favour of Pakistan Tehreek Insaf, Qureshi remarked.
