The meeting is in progress in Islamabad with Prime Minister Imran Khan in the chair.

It is discussing matters pertaining to the construction sector.

The PM reiterated the resolve to take steps for promotion of the industrial process and to utilize its existing potential.

Prime Minister Imran Khan said this, while chairing a meeting on the promotion of industrial process in Islamabad.

He directed that suggestions for resolving energy related issues in industrial sector should be finalized at the earliest.

The PM said that country’s prosperity is dependent upon industrial development and stressed upon provision of all facilities to this sector.

Moreover, he observed that high-cost power is a main hurdle in the development of small and medium industries which increases the production cost.

Meanwhile, the meeting took stock of the issues faced by the small and medium industries.

Their issues included the expensive electricity and considered various proposals in this regard.

Meanwhile, the PM welcomed different proposals for the promotion of industrial process.

Prime Minister stressed upon making all out efforts to fully utilize the current resources and capacities.
