Information Minister rejects allegations of rigging in GBLA elections 2020.

Federal Minister Shibli Faraz said the elections in Gilgit Baltistan held in the most transparent manner.

He expressed these views, while addressing a news conference in Islamabad today (Monday).

He said the people of Gilgit Baltistan fully participated in the democratic process.

Shibli further said the people of this region have rejected the narrative of the PDM and voted for a bright future.

The Information Minister rejected the opposition’s allegations of rigging.

He noted it as their hallmark especially that of the PML (N) that only those elections are free in which they secure victories.

Shibli Faraz underlined rule of law as the priority of the present government. He said it will go after each and every corrupt element.

Moreover, the minister said we want to take the country towards betterment.

He said the PML (N) leader Maryam Nawaz should present evidence as to how she accumulated the assets instead of giving lectures on democracy.

On the other hand, Chief Election Commissioner, Gilgit Baltistan, Raja Shahbaz Khan expressed satisfaction over the election arrangements.

During his visit to the different polling stations on Sunday, he also expressed satisfaction over process and security related matters.
