Chinese Defense Minister Wei Fenghe conferred Nishan e Imtiaz Military.

President Dr. Arif Alvi has conferred Nishan-e-Imtiaz Military on Defense Minister Wei Fenghe in recognition of his services for further promoting and strengthen defense cooperation between Pakistan and China.

The recipient received NI (M) during a special investiture ceremony at the presidency in Islamabad on Tuesday.

Federal ministers, the services chiefs and other senior ranking officials attended the ceremony.

On Tuesday, Minister of National Defence of China General Wei Fenghe called on COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa. He met him Rawalpindi.

Pakistan Army Chief thanked the dignitary for China’s unwavering support to Pakistan on all key issues at regional and international forums.

General Bajwa said Pakistan Army greatly values its time-tested and brotherly relations with China.

Pakistan-China stand together

He reiterated that Pakistan and China have been standing together all along and their relations will be no different in wake of future challenges.

During the meeting, matters of mutual interest, regional security and enhanced bilateral defence collaboration came under discussion.

Meanwhile, the visiting dignitary acknowledged and appreciated Pakistan Army’s sincere efforts for regional peace and provision of secure environment for CPEC projects.

Later on, a Memorandum of Understanding was also signed for enhancement of defence cooperation between both the Armies.

Earlier on arrival at GHQ, Minister of National Defence, laid a floral wreath at Yadgar-e-Shuhada.
