Zalmay and US Resolute Support Mission head meet Pakistan Army Chief. They lauded efforts of Pakistan for Afghan reconciliatory process.

US Special Representative for Afghanistan Reconciliation Ambassador Zalmay Khalilzad and Commander Resolute Support Mission in Afghanistan General Austin Scott Miller met him in Rawalpindi today.

According to ISPR, they appreciated Pakistan’s untiring efforts for facilitating the process that aims at peace in the region.

Meanwhile, the COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa appreciated role of Resolute Support Mission for peace and stability in Afghanistan.

Chief of the Army Staff further assured that Pakistan will continue to play its positive role for peace and stability in the region.

Moreover, both sides discussed matters of mutual interest, including overall regional security situation.

Particularly, they discussed ongoing Afghan reconciliation process.
