President asks media to create awareness for special persons rights and issues.
In his letters to the media on Tuesday, President Dr. Arif Alvi made this appeal.
All segments of the society need to work
He underlined welfare of special persons as a big challenge.
Furthermore, he emphasized that all segments of the society need to work for it.
Specially, President called for raising awareness for the rights and issues of special persons.
He further said the government is taking steps to make special persons financially independent.
He said the government is ensuring to give them access to educational institutions and jobs.
Meanwhile, President Alvi also appreciated the role which media has played to create awareness on other issues.
He hailed media role to create awareness about breast cancer and against COVID-19.
Moreover, the President expressed confidence that the media will again cooperate for promotion of rights of the special persons.
