Pir Adil Shah of PMLN elected as Mayor Islamabad today (Monday).
According to unofficial and undeclared results, he secured 43 votes.

Meanwhile, PTI candidate Malik Sajid Mahmood got 26 votes and remained second close rival.
Earlier, polling to elect new mayor of Islamabad held amid peaceful environment.
It continued without any break till five in the evening.
The contesting candidates included Malik Sajid Mahmood from the PTI, Pir Adil Shah Gillani from the PML-N.
Moreover, Azhar Mahmood also contested the election without affiliation wit h any party.
The electoral college for the ICT Mayor election comprises of seventy-three members.
It consists of chairpersons of union councils and deputy mayors.
