In a video message, he said that Pakistan’s key objective remained highlighting the continued military siege and massive human rights violations in IOJK.

Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the UN was referring to raising the issue of Kashmir at the UN during the year 2020.
Moreover, Munir Akram said they have laid out the legal, political and moral case for Kashmiris freedom struggle.
He specially cited the Pakistan-sponsored resolution on the peoples to self-determination.
United Nations General Assembly unanimously adopted that resolution.

He said the Security Council discussed the situation in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir twice during 2020.

Due to Pakistan’s role, India’s state terrorism exposed incessantly.

Munir Akram said we are also working to counter disinformation networks by alerting the world to the real and present danger.

Furthermore,  he said that the danger emanates from false Indian propaganda through identity theft, technical abuse and false attribution to the UN system.

Meanwhile, Legal Forum for Oppressed Voices of Kashmir issued a report on IOJK situation.

According to the report,  over 230 Kashmiri youth martyred during 312 Indian siege and search operation.

Moreover, the report said that the Indian forces destroyed 657 houses during such operations.
