National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) on Wednesday made this approval.

It announced the decision, while keeping in view current COVID-19 situation.

Furthermore, NCOC also lifted time-limit from commercial activities and amusement parks.

The NCOC made decisions, in that regards, after comprehensive review of existing Non-Pharmaceutical Interventions (NPIs) during a meeting held in Islamabad.

NCOC further stated that the decisions can be reviewed in view of increased disease prevalence, whenever deemed necessary.

However, provinces can enforce targeted NPIs where required depending upon disease prevalence in a given area or sector.

It allowed indoor wedding ceremonies from 15th March 2021 with stringent COVID SOPs.

Besides, it permitted indoor dining from 15th March subject to the review on 10th March.

The Forum said that opening of cinemas and shrines allowed with stringent COVID SOPs with effect from 15th March.

Moreover, NCOC decided that wearing of mask, Social distancing, Smart Lock downs will continue.

They will ensure it.

From Health perspective, the forum decided that Election Commission of Pakistan may plan the conduct of local bodies and Cantt board elections at end May or early Jun 2021.

Moreover, NCOC allowed increase in spectators attendance in PSL Pool matches to 50 percent.

Earlier, it had allowed only 20% spectators.

Whereas, it would allow full attendance for play-offs with stringent COVID SOPs.
