President confers 88 civil awards during a ceremony in Islamabad. 

An investiture ceremony to confer civil awards on different personalities for their contributions in different fields held at Aiwan-e-Sadr.

President Arif Alvi decorated the awards to 88 recipients.

These included six Nishan-e-Imtiaz, three Hilal-e-Imtiaz, twenty four Sitara-i- Shuja’at.

Moreover, he conferred eight Sitara-e-Imtiaz, fourteen President’s Award for Pride of Performance and one Sitara-e-Quaid-e-Azam.

Besides, he also conferred one Sitara-e-Khidmat, one Tamgha-i-Pakistan, twenty two Tamgha-i-Shuja’at and eight Tamgha-e-Imtiaz.

Prominent personalities who received Nishan-e-Imtiaz  include: Sadiqain Naqvi (Art), Abida Parveen (Singing), Ahmad Faraz (Literature) while Bushra Ansari (Art), Syed Farooq Qaiser (Art), Sultana Siddiqi (Art) received Sitara-e-Imtiaz.

The President’s Award for Pride of Performance was received by Maulana Tariq Jameel (Religious Scholar), Muhammad Ali Shehki (Singing), Resham (acting) and Humayon Saeed (Acting), Ali Zafar (Singing).

Zaiba Shehnaz (Acting) and Faisal Edhi (Public Service) were given award of Tamgha-e-Imtiaz.

Meanwhile, ISPR announced rescheduling of the grand military parade in connection with Pakistan Day celebrations .

The contingents of the three armed forces and the security forces will conduct march past.

Moreover, fighter jets will present aerobatic maneuvers tomorrow.

As per the notifications of the Deputy Commissioners of Islamabad and Rawalpindi, the twin cities will enjoy a local holiday tomorrow due to the military parade.
