CJCSC General Nadeem Raza meets Turkish Defence Minister in Ankara.

Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Nadeem Raza reached Ankara on an official visit.

CJCSC General Nadeem Raza meets Turkish Defence Minister

He called on Turkish Minister of National Defence General Retired Hulusi Akar.

According to ISPR, the CJCSC also had separate meeting with Commander Turkish Armed Forces and Chiefs of the tri-services General Yasar Guler.

He also visited Turkish Aerospace Industries.

During the meetings, both sides deliberated upon various issues of mutual interest and bilateral cooperation.

Those areas included: security, counter-terrorism and prevailing regional environment.

Particularly, they discussed region with reference to Afghanistan.

Moreover, the two sides also dilated upon measures to enhance cooperation in the field of defence production.

They also reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthen the excellent relationship.

Meanwhile, Turkish military leadership lauded the professionalism of Pakistan Armed Forces.

It also acknowledged the sacrifices which Pakistan rendered in fight against terrorism.

The Chairman JCSC was also awarded Turkey’s highest military award Legion of Merit in an impressive investiture ceremony.

Earlier, upon arrival at Turkish General Staff Headquarters, a smartly turned out contingent of Armed Forces of Turkey presented Guard of Honour to the CJCSC.

Meanwhile, the Chairman JCSC also laid wreath at the Martyrs’ Monument.
