In this regard, President Dr. Arif Alvi has directed the Federal Insurance Ombudsman Dr. Muhammad Khawar Jamil.
The latter called on him in Islamabad on Tuesday and presented report for the year 2020.

President Alvi directed him to ensure protection of the policy holders’ interests.
Moreover, he said the federal Insurance Ombudsman should provide immediate justice in cases of maladministration of insurance companies.
In this regard, he also called fir further widening scope of the institution.
Meanwhile, a relief of 2.13 billion rupees was provided to the affected insurance policyholders.
Notably, they did it on the directions of the President.
Despite the coronavirus, the authorities concerned addressed 2183 complaints during the last year.
